Nikon Spot On Software

| March 28, 2010 | 2 Comments

Nikon has launched an online ballistics program that appears to be quite handy. You can pick your load, velocity, distance and all the rest. It will tell you the zero for the different aiming points on your scope (Nikon scopes only).

It features the ability to change atmospheric conditions, scope magnification and most other ballistic features. One cool thing it has is the ability to generate a ballistics report which includes; A field reference ballistic chart, a ballistics table and a ballistics graph.

A handy piece of software especially if you are a Nikon scope owner.

My only suggestion would be to them is to make it available on as many phone platforms as possible (iPhone OS, Symbian, Android, Blackberry OS etc)

Yes, SpotOn looks pretty nifty from the tutorial. However, it seems to be allergic to Aussies. The only website I can find for it is American and Australia doesn’t even appear as a country from which you can get at the bought one, let alone the freebie.

I’ve registered my interest with their Q&A staff but something tells me their clunky e-forms won’t get me far. How did you get access to it?
