hunting 3 pursuit New Camo For The Aussie Hunter

The Lamellar Pursuit Jacket

Lamellar is a new company based in Sydney, started in 2008 it offers some great looking camo that has been designed for the Australian bush. Focusing mainly on cold weather it has an extensive winter line of camo. No word yet on whether or not they will produce warm weather camo but I can’t imagine a camo company not catering to all seasons.

Their line consists of 3 Layers:

Core Layer (Direct contact with the skin) – At the moment the offering is a thermal shirt (in camo)

Mantle Layer – A vest working as an insulator to keep body heat in.

Outer Layer – This line is all about pants and jackets. It is also the company’s most extensive line offering a couple of different types of camo. It has 3 different types of pants the: Pursuit, Blitz & oZ Terrain and 4 different types of jacket: Pursuit, Blitz, Oz Terrain & the Sniper Jacket. They come in a couple of different camo patterns.

Fabrics mentioned are the EcoAct and the Proact both with different properties.

More info can be found on the Lamellar Website.

I look forward to evaluating Lamellar camo as it seems interesting and you have to love camo! Stay tuned for reviews.

    Hi Max,

Lamellar offers two camo patterns developed for the natural Australian environment. This is the ContraCAM camouflage patterns and ContraCAM Fade camouflage pattern.

The ContraCAM camouflage pattern is slightly darker and is developed for the dense bushland area’s of Australia. All of the colours have been digitally colour matched to the actual colours of the tree’s, shrubs and fauna of the Australian dense forest environment.

The ContraCAM Fade is probably more suited for your environment if you have found the original ContraCAM camouflage pattern to a bit too dark. It faetures the same pattern, but it has a different background setting with a lighter/dryer tone and was purposely developed for the dryer, open land regions of Australia.

Both of these patterns were purposely designed and developed for the Australian environment from hundreds of high definition SLR photo’s of the Australian bush environment.
